RIDIN' WITH RANDY
Hi Folks,
Well at the time of writing this the Warriors of the Way Dart Run and the Chariots of the Hills 10th Anniversary party are history. between the two events I was able to ride approximately 400 miles or more. First lady, Paula, was able to use the chase vehicle for the purpose to which it was intended (check my blog for pictures) with a bike in the back (flat tire) and the rider in the truck for the rest of the run to our destination. God provided the means for repair of the tube (actually another tube with only three patches on it) to get the operator home. Come to the next meeting to see what happens next in this interesting story.
The WOW Dart Run raised almost $800.00 for the Killeen Crisis Pregnancy Center, they provided good food, coffee and cold drinks as needed and Kay's Motorcycle Mania was very supportive of this event.
The Chariots of the Hills 10th Anniversary party was well attended including Captain Dave and Karen Witten (ex-NLR members who were a part of NLR when the Chariots were commissioned to start their own chapter) I was really blessed to see them at my house early and with a full fuel tank (Captain Dave was always good about that when he was Road Captain for NLR). Don and Susan Potter also accompanied us as well as Tom & Debbie, Janice and Johnny. Don won the slow race, I placed second and Dick Pitre placed third. The brisket was delicious an the BBQ sauce was home made - whew!
There are many things coming up and I'm not even talking toy runs yet! Uppermost, though, are the nominations for chapter officers for 2007. Is God asking you to serve? Prayerful consider your role in the New Life Riders, are you where God wants you to be?

18 October - UCOA Meeting, Road House, Round Rock, 7:30 p.m.
21 October - Companero's 10th Anniversary Party, Cindy's Gone Hog Wild, Bastrop, 11 a.m till ?
2 November - New Life Riders Chapter Meeting, the usual place, IHOP on Research just south of Duval.

WOW DART RUN
Tom Zimmer, our Chapter President, taking his turn throwing darts at the Warriors of the Way (CMA) Dart Run. We really appreciated the WOW chapter members (like Ken & Lynette Higgins pictured here) for putting this run on. Just over one hundred miles of beautiful scenery, good fellowship with those on the run and at the start/stop point, Kay's Motorcycle Mania, in Nolanville.
I thank the Warriors of the Way for putting on a good run. All the ingredients were there including food - which for CMA is almost a necessity. I don't know how many people showed up for the run but I noticed several clubs being represented. At the end of the day almost $800.00 was given to the charity they supported. ¶ 8:13 PM 0 comments

Hi Folks,
IS IT HOT ENOUGH FOR YOU YET?
Interesting thought, as at this time, we have had several over 100 degree F. days. I hope everyone is drinking plenty of water and watching for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Please take care of yourselves!
In light of the high temps, our July and August Chapter rides have been early morning rides. The September chapter ride will be to the 10th Anniversary of the Chariots of the Hills CMA Chapter. This chapter came out of our chapter and has been doing well, so let's get together and ride out to Pat & Buren Hoffman's to help our friends celebrate this occasion!
